Stickybits: Works with iphone/ipod and allows you to create barcodes which you can stick on to any object and tag virtual data to it. e.g. in Business studies I have used it to create business cards with a bar code attached, which when scanned by the ipod touch brings up pictures of the students and their resumes.Cost: free


http://www.socrative.com/ This is an app that potentially replaces expensive voting systems.  It is currently in Alpha (first stage of testing) and free to use. It is already available for Android and the Apple app is coming soon.  It can also be accessed from any mobile device without the app by going to m.socrative.com 

Audioboo - record sound over a picture and share easily.

Screenchomp - A whiteboard that records a video with audio as you work. Lovely for students to show working or create revision lesson for each other or for teachers to create contnet for a VLE.

iBrainstorm - 'Introducing the first multi-device collaboration tool from Universal Mind. From iPhone to iPad with just a flick of the finger, iBrainstorm has set the bar and has redefined the very nature of collaboration.' 


Manuscript - ideal for English. Write stories in the style of a novel.
